There are a few “systems” that are practiced in…
This is the 9th tip in the “How to Play Roulette – 16 Spins to Win” eBook.
Although it’s still a game of chance, it doesn’t hurt to see what others have tried!
Martingale System: This system involves doubling the bet after every loss. Theoretically you would recover all previous losses plus win a profit equal to the original bet. The only problem with this system is that past results do not affect the future results. In the long term, it’s possible that you could either run out of money or hit the table limit.
Labouchere System This progression betting strategy is like the Martingale, but it does not require the gambler to risk his stakes so quickly by doubling up. This system uses a series of numbers in a line to determine what you will bet, following a win or a loss. You would add the numbers at the front and end of the line to determine the size of the next bet. When you win, cross out numbers and continue working on the smaller line. If you lose, add your previous bet to the end of the line and continue to work on the longer line. This system takes advantage of the theory that when you win over a third of your bets (or less than the expected 18/38), you will win. Sadly this system still seems to have a negative average value.
D’Alembert System (also know as “montant et demontant”) This system takes into account a mathematical equilibrium theory. This system is mainly used for outside bets, and is used to keep bets and losses to a minimum. After a loss 1 unit is added to the next bet and after a win 1 unit is subtracted from the bet. This betting system relies on the idea that you are more likely to lose following a win and more likely to win following a loss. Other betting systems do exist but you might just be looking for patterns in randomness. If you see something promising that you can beat the system, you should steer away from it as you wouldn’t want to waste your money on it.
